603 United

A nonprofit organization

603 United, a recently established 501(c)3 nonprofit in New Hampshire, upholds the motto "Live United and Be Inclusive." Our mission is to offer social inclusion activities for adults aged 18 and above, both with and without intellectual disabilities. With a focus on nurturing healthy relationships, lifestyles, and inclusivity, we provide a wide range of participation opportunities for our members, including team sports, individual sports, arts and crafts, music, outdoor and indoor activities, and more. Our aim is for Club Members and Volunteers to forge lasting friendships and memories that extend beyond our programs, fostering a sense of belonging rarely experienced since childhood.

Since our inception in June 2022, our membership has doubled, the activities offered have tripled, and we have extended our reach to twelve communities. Starting with 20 Club Members over a year ago, we now proudly serve 100+ Club Members aged 18 to 80. Our Club Members engage in various activities throughout the week, such as non-competitive team sports, arts and crafts, community events, and social gatherings like card games and movie nights, providing ample opportunities for social interaction. Our community's support has been instrumental in 603 United's growth, with Club Members hailing from areas including Laconia, Belmont, Canterbury, Gilford, Gilmanton, Meredith, Tilton, Franklin, Alton, Concord, Bristol, Newfound, and beyond.

603 United is rapidly expanding, welcoming an average of one new Club Member weekly. Our new expanded space offers a secure and enriching environment where Club Members can spend the majority of their day, with improved accessibility and safety measures. The organization's Board of Directors, comprised of eight professionals from the Lakes Region with diverse backgrounds, guides our operations. Additionally, we have a Club Member serving on the Board, contributing valuable insights to decision-making and program development. With a dedicated Executive Director leading the team, our goal is to provide inclusive opportunities for adults with and without intellectual disabilities, fostering an environment of belonging and acceptance.

Our organization addresses a crucial gap often overlooked in post-graduation support for individuals with intellectual disabilities. While schools provide inclusive activities and social connections, these opportunities diminish post-graduation, leaving individuals with unmet social needs. 603 United aims to continue and expand on the inclusive activities and friendships established in school settings, offering a supportive and engaging space for personal growth, skill development, and meaningful social interactions for our Club Members.
