BLSO USA — Better Life Social Organization USA 501(c)(3) Nonprofit | Lebanon, New Hampshire | blsousa.org
Our Founder, Dipak Niroula, grew up in Panchthar, Nepal, where school required a two-hour barefoot walk-through jungle every morning. He became the first child from his village to graduate high school. Between 2011 and 2015, he personally supported 96 homeless children in Kathmandu from his own business revenue. Every program BLSO USA builds solves a problem he personally faced.
We are raising $150,000 in 2026 to launch our 5-Year Strategic Plan. We are asking New Hampshire donors and the Nepali-American diaspora to contribute $25,000. Every dollar is tracked, verified, and goes directly to beneficiaries through our field partners BLSO Nepal and IRD Nepal.
GOAL 1 — EDUCATION FOR EVERY CHILD Seeking $25,000 in 2026
750,000+ children are out of school in Nepal today. Dalit, indigenous, and remote mountain children are 3x more likely to never enroll. 40% of those who do enroll drop out before Grade 8 — the minimum threshold for economic participation. Girls face the greatest barriers. They are who we prioritize first.
We deploy trained local women as community para-educators — serving 25 to 30 children each, three hours daily, five days a week — reaching children the formal system cannot.
Year 1 targets: 300 children enrolled | 90% completing Grade 8 | Girls minimum 50% of enrollments | Cost: $45-$65 per child per year
GOAL 2 — YOUTH SKILLS AND SAFE MIGRATION Seeking $20,000 in 2026
1,500 young Nepalis leave home every single day for Gulf countries and Malaysia — with no income skills, no legal knowledge, and no protection. For those who stay, villages offer no income pathways.
We run two tracks simultaneously. Track A: Safe Migration Preparation — our Ministry of Labor-adopted guide delivered to every departing youth covering legal rights, financial literacy, and trafficking prevention. Track B: Digital Champions — one trained youth per village teaches 50 peers digital income skills using a proven peer-multiplier model.
Year 1 targets: 100 Champions trained | 5,000 peers reached | 100% of departing youth prepared | By Year 3: 10,000 youth with income skills
GOAL 3 — WOMEN'S ECONOMIC INDEPENDENCE Seeking $20,000 in 2026
60% of rural Nepali women have no independent income. When husbands migrate abroad, households collapse. Nepal's remittance dependence is 27% of GDP — and when remittances stop, there is nothing left.
Our 8-week mobile Income Bootcamp is delivered entirely via WhatsApp and offline tablet — no electricity required. Local women facilitators lead cohorts of 15 to 20 women through micro-enterprise, mobile money, digital selling, and savings group formation.
Year 1 targets: 10 cohorts | 150-200 women trained | 70% earning independently within 90 days | Cost: $80-$120 per woman
GOAL 4 — US OPERATIONS AND NH CONNECT Seeking $10,000 in 2026
Strong programs in Nepal require a strong foundation in New Hampshire. We are building our grant writing capacity, Charity Navigator registration, Form 990 compliance, and a structured Nepali-American diaspora donor network targeting 50+ donors and $25,000-$50,000 raised in Year 1.
NH Connect launches in Year 2 — a workforce integration program for Nepali immigrant adults in Manchester and Concord, NH: English for Employment, US digital workplace skills, and employment navigation in partnership with NH Employment Security.
