Haverhill Heritage Inc. (HHI) is a community-centered, nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and revitalization of notable buildings in the Haverhill Corner National Historic Register District of New Hampshire.  Founded in 1994, HHI has helped to save a number of abandoned buildings that have fallen into disrepair and currently retains ownership of two of those buildings: (ALUMNI HALL - Home of COURT STREET ARTS, as well as the THE WENTWORTH BROWN HOUSE). Both of these buildings are currently venues for community-focused programming and events. ALUMNI HALL is our performing arts center (Court Street Arts), where art and community come together, and we are now in the beginning stages of offering programming and events at the WENTWORTH BROWN HOUSE, as we continue our renovations to the interior of this site.

HHI is located in the northern Upper Valley (also known as the Cohase region), in the heart of a rural, agricultural area.  We serve approximately 42 communities along the Connecticut River Valley, from St Johnsbury to Lebanon, and Barre to Plymouth. Quoting the town's 2024 Master Plan, "Haverhill takes pride in its past and present- all citizens treasure its history, agriculture, parks, recreation and scenic beauty. The small-town qualities of Haverhill are a hallmark of the community and why people live, work and play in Haverhill."

COURT STREET ARTS at ALUMNI HALL is committed to its mission of being a place "where art and community come together. It is a place to spark the imagination, build community and enrich the lives of people throughout the region.” There, we celebrate the arts, encourage learning and promote social engagement. Court Street Arts is beginning its 21st season this year, bringing the arts alive to the community and beyond.

THE WENTWORTH BROWN HOUSE is a series of five connected buildings that frame the whole south end of the historic Haverhill Common. It consists of the Main House, Little House Carriage Barn, Connector (chicken coop and out houses) and the Large barn. The total spanse is 195 feet, making it one of the largest connected spaces in the state. While still under renovation, it is now being used for weekly bakery /coffee sales..  Future events beginning this summer are outdoor concerts on the lawn, and monthly "Music in the Round" sponsored by the fold duo, The Rough & Tumble. In the works is a music practice room for community members who want to play piano but may not have access to one to come a play on one of full size keyboard pianos. Small rooms are available for metting space and the possibilty of office space for people to use in the future.  We have big dreams for the use of the buildingas we continue our efforts at restoration.

Haverhill Heritage Inc is excited to promote an arts campus featuring the two sites that will enrich the lives of people in the surrounding communities.
