Everyone deserves a dignified farewell.

The Phaneuf Family Foundation brings that belief to life by supporting:

  • Those who cannot afford the full cost of a funeral or cremation through grants
  • Hospice caregivers who support individuals and families through the dying process
  • Funeral service students who will be the next generation of care for grieving families

Each area of support reflects a different moment in the same experience, and the same conviction that every person deserves a dignified farewell, regardless of circumstance.

Supporting Families Who Can't Afford to Say Goodbye

For some families, the cost of a funeral or cremation creates an insurmountable financial burden at an already painful time. Through grants of up to $1,000, the Foundation provides financial assistance for arrangements when a family cannot afford to pay for a service on their own.

Supporting Caregivers

Professional hospice caregivers provide comfort, guidance, and support to individuals and families during some of life’s most difficult moments. The Foundation recognizes and supports professional hospice caregivers and organizations in NH and VT through its Caregiver Superstar program, which includes a monetary award for both the caregiver and their organization.

Supporting the Future of Funeral Service

Funeral professionals help families navigate what comes after a death, with care, respect, and practical guidance. The Foundation provides an annual scholarship to students attending a mortuary college.

Your Gift Matters

Your support helps provide dignity, compassion, and practical assistance across the full circle of end-of-life care.

During NH Gives, your donation helps the Phaneuf Family Foundation support professional caregivers, students, and families in need throughout New Hampshire and Vermont.
