HAVEN serves women, men, children, and all people of
marginalized genders and identities affected by domestic and sexual violence.
HAVEN is the largest violence prevention and support services agency in NH. The
need to eliminate domestic and sexual violence, while supporting individuals
and families, is greater than ever. Your support will help us better serve
Rockingham and Strafford Counties, ultimately making the Greater Seacoast a
safer place to live!

Each year, HAVEN reaches over 13,000 students with a
curriculum designed to help kids understand and apply strategies to prevent
violence. This education not only empowers young people to protect themselves
and others but also offers a pathway to healing from past trauma before it becomes a debilitating burden.

We know that investing in prevention and support today
reduces long-term harm and creates a safer future for the next generation. We
hear from kids that their abuse stopped when they participated in our
prevention programs and found a trusted grown-up to help. We hear from teachers
and guidance counselors who share how they could have benefited from these
programs when they were younger.

Over time, there will be greater potential to continue to
scale the program, resulting in countless benefits to society. This kind
of consistency has been shown to have a much stronger impact on behavior
change, building safer and healthier communities. And it’s all thanks to the
caring support of individuals like you.

I am grateful that HAVEN is changing the culture and stigma
around sexual violence. As a middle school guidance counselor, I see the impact
of HAVEN’s prevention education programs every day. Children are so
impressionable when they are young and learning how to behave. That’s why I
believe sexual assault prevention education is critical in the younger years.
