Nashua PAL builds thriving, bright, & healthy futures for 2,000+ youth in Greater Nashua!

Accelerate success for youth, and the Giaquinto Family has committed to doubling your donations up to $5,000!

PAL's Accelerating Success program focuses on eliminating barriers and improving access to education for youth and families. This program makes an impact by...

  • Replacing a child's broken glasses
  • Purchasing new shoes for a child
  • Helping a grandmother buy her grandson a bed when he comes to live with her -
  • And so much more!

A few examples of how the Accelerating Success Program has helped youth already....

  • Several batches of clothing, winter boots, coats, etc. for PAL youth in need.
  • A monthly bus pass for an older PAL youth member to get to work so she can support her siblings.
  • A car repair for a single mom (community member that was referred to us by another agency)
  • School supplies, groceries, and grocery gift cards for 3 struggling families (one with 8 children)
  • Diapers and formula for 2 young families with new babies

Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support!

Who We Are

Nashua PAL's Mission: To create a positive attitude between the children of Nashua and the members of the Police Department through PAL sponsored sports, enrichment, recreation, and education activities.

Why Nashua PAL Exists:

You’re helping teens like Jeffrey, one of our Teen Leaders who works the front desk at the Youth Safe Haven and attended the National PAL Youth Leadership Summit last year. His family has faced several challenges this year, and through this program we were able to cover the cost of Driver’s Ed. Jeffrey now has his license and can help drive his mom to work, reducing transportation costs and easing a real burden at home.

This winter has also been especially hard on many families, with unemployment and rising grocery and heating costs (and temperatures dipping into the single digits quite often!). We’ve used program funds to purchase a lot of winter essentials like coats, boots, gloves, and hoodies, along with distributing food and grocery gift cards to help families get through the cold months.

Another family we were able to support with your help is one that wasn’t previously connected to PAL. Another PAL family who has received support reached out and connected us to a struggling student’s family, and we were able to provide clothing, food, and gift cards.

In July, Nashua PAL proudly sent 5 Teen Leaders and their mentors to the National PAL Youth Summit D.C.. The theme, Having a Growth Mindset, gave our youth a chance to connect with peers from across the country, build leadership skills, embrace the power of resiliency, and learn how to be strong voices for positive change in their community. One of the new highlights was an exclusive tour of the Homeland Security office, which was a really interesting and eye-opening experience for our teens.

We see between 350-450 youth in a year in our NO COST after school and summer program. Membership reports show that 96% of our members live below the median income level of Nashua. Youth between ages 7-18 earn their place at the PAL Youth Safe Haven by making positive choices at the center and in the community. They are rewarded with educational classes, entertainment, and field trips that broaden their horizons.

Nashua PAL works in collaboration with the Nashua Police Department, but is not funded by them. We are funded through the generous donations of community members and organizations like yourself.

We believe every kid deserves a chance - Every Kid Deserves A PAL!
