$5,000 Goal

The New Hampshire Preservation Alliance was founded in 1985 as Inherit New Hampshire, a statewide non-profit, membership-based organization. Through leadership, education, and advocacy, it helps people preserve historic buildings, landscapes, and communities.

During this year's NH Gives campaign, we're asking you to help us raise $5,000 to support our next-generation trades initiative. This target will be matched by other donors and help cover the cost of summer networking sessions and help test new pilot programs across the state.

We are facing a severe shortage of carpenters, plasterers, masons, window repairers and others. Without new people to replace those retiring, wait times for old building experts will increase, people will choose non-preservation solutions, and we will lose historic features and buildings as well as the knowledge of old building care built over generations. With helpful research results and successful initial programs, we are well-positioned to make a difference.

With your gift, we can expand access of new prospective tradespeople to meaningful experiences, provide resources to those just beginning their journey, and cultivate the skills and leadership needed to protect New Hampshire’s historic places. Every contribution—at any level—brings us one step closer to sustaining this important momentum.

We invite you to help us reach our goal of $5,000 during this year's NH Gives to support this programming during the upcoming year. Together, we can empower new voices, strengthen our shared mission, and carry the legacy of preservation forward.
