Wanakee

Dear Wanakee Community,

I am so excited to share some wonderful news about our camp facilities! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, a brand-new, modern Health Lodge will soon be coming to Wanakee.

The cost of the building itself has been fully funded by a few generous families, including the friends and family of Jim Tresner, who donated in his memory. We are grateful for their support, which will care for generations of campers to come. 

While the building itself is covered, we need your help to bring it across the finish line! 

This year during NH Gives, our fundraising efforts will be completely dedicated to installing, outfitting, and finalizing the new Health Lodge. The building will be in main camp, to the right of the Rec Hall.

This new building represents a major, much-needed advancement for Wanakee's facilities, including:

·    Higher Quality Space for Our Medical Staff: This facility will provide them with a functional, comfortable, and well-equipped environment to care for our community.

·    More Privacy for Campers: When campers need medical attention or a place to rest, they deserve a private, quiet space. The new layout ensures greater confidentiality and comfort.

·    Year-Round Versatility: The new Health Lodge will feature both heating and air conditioning. This allows us to comfortably utilize the space for retreat groups during the off-season.

Please keep an eye out for more details as we approach NH Gives, (coming up on June 9th and 10th), including an announcement about a matching gift.

Together, we can install this essential new space and continue to make Wanakee a safe, welcoming, and life-changing place for everyone.
