Why do I support Nica Love?

The first time I learned about Nica Love, I was immediately drawn to their mission. They give animals—big and small—a second chance when they have nowhere else to turn. They step in when animals are neglected, abandoned, injured, or simply unable to care for themselves, and they do it with compassion and dedication.

The first animal I sponsored through Nica Love was Gabe.

When Gabe was found, he had been left to fend for himself. He was so sick that he could barely walk. Seeing him in that condition was heartbreaking, but Nica Love didn't give up on him. They took him in, provided the medical care he desperately needed, and surrounded him with love.

Over time, Gabe regained his strength. He got to experience comfort, care, and kindness. Most importantly, he got to spend his final days exactly how every dog deserves to—fat, happy, and loved by a team that truly cared about him.

This photo is from the first time Gabe and I met. It's a reminder of why organizations like Nica Love matter. Every animal has a story, and every animal deserves someone willing to fight for them.
