NH Gives 2026

Every day, young people are bombarded with information from social media, news outlets, influencers, advertisers, and now artificial intelligence. The ability to think critically about what youth see, hear, and share has never been more important.

Media Power Youth helps young people develop the media literacy skills they need to navigate today's complex digital world. Through hands-on learning experiences, youth learn how media messages are created, how to evaluate the credibility of information, recognize misinformation, understand bias, and use their own voices responsibly and effectively.

As technology continues to evolve, media literacy is no longer a "nice to have" skill—it's essential.

As a board member of MPY, I see firsthand the impact this organization has on young people across New Hampshire. Over the past year, MPY has collaborated with teens and safety experts to create a safe driving marketing campaign, educated teachers and caregivers about how to support youth media skills, and launched the Spotlight Community Impact Awards that highlight the stories of high school students and their mentors building community in New Hampshire’s public schools. We’re particularly proud of our 21-member Youth Advisory Board who create content for our blog and share their insights to ensure MPY’s materials will resonate with young people.
