As a former Occupational Therapist, I have witnessed the remarkable abilities, achievements, and potential of children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Throughout my career, I focused on fostering independence, building confidence, and helping individuals capitalize on their strengths rather than their limitations.
I lost a very special cousin named Amber, whose life was cut tragically short by illness. Amber was a shining light who shared unconditional love with everyone she met. She taught those around her the true meaning of kindness, compassion, acceptance, and joy. Her spirit continues to inspire me every day.💜
In honor of Amber’s memory and the light she brought into the world, I volunteer, as I am now retired, to support the social media marketing efforts of Our Place NH, an organization dedicated to creating housing opportunities for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Dover, NH area.
I believe every individual deserves access to safe, affordable, and independent living, along with the support necessary to thrive as an active and valued member of their community. Housing is more than a place to live - it is a foundation for dignity, belonging, and opportunity.
