If you haven’t met this spicy 2 pound paralyzed Chihuahua, brought here from Nicaragua by local rescue NicaLove, allow us to introduce you!
Karen, aka Peoita Chiquita, was left paralyzed after an accident at her home in Nicaragua and brought to a shelter there where she was set to be euthanized.
It didn’t take long to recognize her unbreakable spirit and see that she was still full of life and ready for a new chapter, despite her inability to walk.
Nicalove brought her to the United States where she was adopted and currently lives on the Seacoast.
While adjusting to New England has been challenging, there is nothing stopping this little lady from living life to the FULLEST, including exploring her creative outlet as an artist!
Karen began painting original floral scapes with the help of her artist mom, Katie, using her paralyzed feet as paintbrushes, not only as a way to incorporate the pup, but also to show others that anything is possible when you are surrounded by love and support!
