Martha Duffy's Fundraiser for The River Center

The River Center has been part of my family's life for years.  I first got to know it when my three daughters participated in the Summer Explorers program.  Those summers were filled with hikes, searching for salamanders and bugs, climbing trees, making friends and discovering new places right here in our community.  The program gave my girls opportunities to explore, build confidence and develop a connection to the outdoors.

Today, I have the privilege of working at the River Center and facilitating  some of these same programs and more.  Every week, I see the same curiosity, joy and sense of belonging that my own children experienced.  I watch children make friends, learn through play, discover the natural world around them and get excited to come back the next week.

The River Center creates meaningful opportunities for families to connect in new ways - with nature, with their community and with one another.  Supporting The River Center helps ensure that these experiences remain available to local children and families for years to come.  I'm grateful for all it has given my family and proud to help support it's mission.
