Sue Whitaker's fundraiser for The River Center

Hi Friends & Family,

I’m participating in NH Gives to support The River Center Family & Community Resource Center because The River Center assisted my family several years ago, when my husband went through an extended period of unemployment. We went from being financially stable to at risk of losing our home. The River Center helped us by filing our taxes for free and helping us file for WIC, fuel assistance and electric assistance, as well as offering encouragement and support. That difficult period taught me that life can throw you curve balls and it’s important to have resources available when times get tough.
 
I started working at The River Center in September 2019. It has been so rewarding to work for an organization that supports individuals and families in our community to not only survive, but to thrive. I have seen firsthand how the work we do every day has a positive impact on those we serve.
 
 I could say so much more about how passionate I am about working for this amazing organization and the many programs we offer. It is very rewarding to be able give back to those who once helped my family through a very challenging time. I truly appreciate any donation you are able to give to support us as we continue this important work in our community. 

My goal this NH Gives is to raise $1,000 to help support these programs and keep them available for individuals and families who need them most.
