Katie often says, “I would love to live on my own, in my own place, and spend time with my friends. I want to be independent, just like my big sister, but I will still need help to cook and make healthy and safe choices.”
Katie understands that living with her parents, who provide incredible love and care, is not forever. They won't always be able to provide the support, supervision, and the community access she needs. “I live with my parents and I’ll be sad when I don’t live with them anymore, but I know I can’t live with them forever."
When at home, Katie often spends time on her phone or laptop watching videos and texting friends. Supportive housing at Our Place NH would offer something life-changing: real friendship, meaningful connection, and a true sense of belonging. She would be able to spend time with friends in shared living spaces, cook and share meals together, and enjoy both community and independence.
Helping Katie and her friends have this opportunity would truly be a dream come true — not only for them, but for the families who love them. It would provide peace of mind for her parents and sister, knowing she is safe, supported, connected, and living her best life. Help us build her adult home!
