Kristen Garland's fundraiser for The River Center

Hi Friends & Family,

As an educator and parent, I believe the role of a parent is one of the most wonderful, essential, and challenging jobs one can be given. Parenting is extremely rewarding; however, it is not without its challenges and worries. 

We are so fortunate to have The River Center, which supports parents and families in the Eastern Monadnock region. Home visits, parenting support groups, and informative, relevant workshops support parents. We also offer our Kinship Groups to provide connections and support to grandparents raising their grandchildren in the area. Favorite groups include weekly music classes, young outdoors explorers, and parent-child walking and hiking adventures.

The River Center offers connections to a wood bank in the winter, tax prep (VITA) in the spring, and money coaching year-round, to name some of the other ways this non-profit organization cares for folks. 

As a Board member for this invaluable resource center for families, I ask you to join me in my fundraising campaign for The River Center through NH Gives. My goal is to raise $1000 to contribute to our cause. I will match the first $250. There are opportunities to possibly have your donation also matched by The River Center's match, and if lucky, help them win a prize!

Here are The River Center's Goals:

• To raise $50,000
• We are seeking the most donors for NH Gives from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on June 9th, in hopes of winning the $500 prize we won last year. Consider donating during these hours!
• 500 donors during the 24 hours in hopes we win a $5,000 prize for the organization with the most donors.
