About ADAPT

ADAPT is a nonprofit organization that has proudly served Central and Northern New Hampshire for over 30 years, supporting youth and families through prevention, intervention, leadership, and positive youth development programming. Our mission is to improve the health, safety, and well-being of youth ages 5–21 by promoting healthy lifestyles, building meaningful connections, and reducing alcohol, tobacco, and other substance misuse and associated challenges within the communities we serve. Through collaboration with schools, local businesses, law enforcement, families, community members, and partner agencies, ADAPT works to create safe, supportive, and drug-free communities throughout Grafton and Coos Counties.

We offer a wide variety of programs and services designed to empower youth, strengthen resilience, and provide positive alternatives through experiential learning, outdoor adventure, mentorship, leadership opportunities, restorative practices, and community engagement. Programs and services include after-school and summer programming, peer support groups, educational workshops, social skills development, one-on-one mentorships, leadership and prevention initiatives, restorative justice programming, and outdoor experiential education opportunities. ADAPT’s work is supported by dedicated full- and part-time staff, Plymouth State University interns, and community volunteers who are passionate about helping young people grow into confident, connected, and capable leaders.
