What Makes BFA Different?

BFA offers 6-11th graders a cellphone-free school day on a rural 9 acre open campus. This fosters a greater sense of autonomy, a connection to life outside a classroom and the ability to live in the moment with their classmates. It’s a great school culture!

The BFA way emphasizes hands-on learning for every student everyday in the Toolbox program. This places BFA in the vanguard of the current Back to the Trades movement.

BFA Enterprises include: The Foundry, an on-campus school store; Hot Off the Press, BFA custom apparel and Franklin Press, a student-operated print shop. This emphasis on entrepreneurship instills a sense of self-reliance and an appreciation for the American Dream.

At BFA the curriculum is history centered highlights the positive attributes of self discipline and personal achievement by which each student has the opportunity to build their own sense of fulfillment, purpose and happiness.
