Concord Coalition to End Homelessness (CCEH)

At first glance, homelessness is often seen only at its most visible moments.

Someone sleeping outside, carrying their belongings through downtown, seeking warmth on the coldest nights of winter.

But what often goes unseen is everything that happens in between crisis and stability.

It’s the paperwork someone hasn’t been able to replace for years. The housing application that feels impossible to navigate alone. The missed medical appointments, the waiting lists, the exhaustion, the uncertainty, and the feeling that there is nowhere left to turn.

Every day, people in our community walk through the doors of the Concord Coalition to End Homelessness (CCEH) Resource Center looking for more than basic necessities.

They are looking for safety, support, guidance, and hope.

At CCEH, we meet people where they are — whether they need a warm place to rest, help connecting to services, assistance finding housing, or ongoing support to remain stably housed.

Through the Resource Center, Emergency Winter Shelter, housing navigation, supportive housing programs, and community partnerships, CCEH helps individuals move beyond survival and toward long-term stability.

This work is rarely instant.

Stability is built through countless small but critical steps: obtaining identification documents, applying for benefits programs, attending appointments, rebuilding trust, securing income, finding housing opportunities, and creating support systems that help people remain housed long after move-in day.

And those small steps add up to life-changing outcomes.

In 2025 alone, CCEH’s Resource Center served 714 unique individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability. More than 15,000 visits were recorded as people came through our doors seeking essential services, support, and connection.

During that same year:

· 2,668 case management appointments were conducted

· 363 housing applications were completed

· 278 people received assistance with applying for benefits

· 347 referrals were made for health care, legal aid, and recovery services

· 37 individuals moved into permanent housing

The need continues to grow.

So far in 2026, CCEH is serving an average of 217 unique individuals each month at the Resource Center, including an average of 23 people who are accessing services there for the first time.

This past winter, CCEH’s Emergency Winter Shelter provided lifesaving refuge for 172 unique individuals over 121 nights of operation. On 30 nights, the shelter exceeded 40 guests: a reflection of the growing affordable housing and homelessness crisis affecting communities across New Hampshire. And yet, even in the face of rising need, progress continues.

As of May 2026, CCEH has already helped 14 individuals secure permanent housing throughout the state.

Because homeless is not hopeless.

When people have access to support, safety, and housing, lives change: health improves, relationships reconnect, employment becomes possible, recovery begins, and futures reopen.

Who We Are

 Founded in 2008, the Concord Coalition to End Homelessness (CCEH) is a private nonprofit dedicated to eliminating homelessness in our community. We do this work through our services and programs; by collaborating with other agencies; and with education and advocacy. We believe that every person has value and deserves a home regardless of their circumstances, that ending homelessness is possible, and that maintaining a safety net benefits the entire community. CCEH operates a Resource Center Monday through Friday where clients can meet their basic needs (e.g. showers, laundry, mail) and engage in case management services focused on securing and maintaining permanent housing. CCEH also operates the Emergency Winter Shelter from December through March, providing a safe place to stay during the coldest months of the year. In addition, CCEH offers Permanent Supportive Housing programs that combine affordable housing with ongoing case management to help individuals maintain long-term housing stability. Many clients also live with mental health issues, substance use disorders, and/or other disabilities which make securing and maintaining housing difficult. To help address the complex needs of our clients, the Resource Center also serves as a hub for other agencies to engage with clients and provide services such as physical and behavioral health care.
