Imagine you’ve been in the emergency room for weeks– every minute feeling like hours. No end in sight, but you’re in the worst mental state of your life. Life doesn’t seem worth it. You finally get transferred to an inpatient facility, but weeks go by and a $20,000 bill comes in the mail. How am I supposed to pay for this?

Introducing Connections Peer Support– an alternative to emergency room onboarding and a nonprofit organization that provides NO-COST, Peer led, mental health support to adults in NH. No unexpected bills, insurance, or co-pays. Just a supportive environment of peers – working with people who have gone through their own mental health challenges. Our four main programs address the needs of NH adults through a person and holistic centered approach.

Our Portsmouth center, located in the west end of the city, offers a variety of support groups on numerous mental health related topics, such as depression, anxiety, well-being, LGBTQIA+ support, advocacy, and more! Groups are open to all adults in NH at no-cost.

Connections Peer Support offers a Warmline 365 days a year from 5-10 PM that can be reached at (603) 427-6966. Our Warmline is staffed by Peer Support Specialists who provide a safe, affirming, and confidential space to speak about mental health challenges and life events at no-cost.

Step-Up/Step-Down (SUSD), part of the Mission Zero initiative from The State of NH, is our residential mental health program located in Northwood, NH. SUSD is a structured transitional-living program that offers adults in NH a stay of up to 90 days with the goal of reducing hospitalizations and supporting long term sustainable recovery.

Community of Practice (COP), the statewide live training component for Peer Support Specialist certification in NH, that Connections Peer Support facilitates.

Your donation will help us continue to offer mental health support at no-cost for adults in NH! During a time with so much uncertainty surrounding budgets and funding, one thing remains intact: community support!

Who We Are
