The Need Is Urgent

Across New Hampshire and Vermont, options are extremely limited.

• Only three high-intensity residential programs exist for pregnant and parenting women

• Many programs limit the number or ages of children who can stay

• Mothers are often forced to choose between treatment and their children

Families deserve better.

What We’re Implementing

Families Flourish Northeast (FFNE) is implementing a family-centered residential recovery program where:

• Mothers receive treatment while living with their children

• There are no limits on number or ages of children

• Families heal together, not apart

This model improves long-term outcomes for both mothers and children.

Filling a Critical Gap

Right now, there is no clinical residential step between inpatient care and community-based support in this region.

FFNE will fill that gap by providing a safe, structured residential environment where mothers can:

• Stabilize and continue treatment

• Strengthen parenting skills

• Build lasting recovery—while caring for their children

Community Support Is Strong

Healthcare providers across New Hampshire and Vermont recognize the urgent need for this program and are actively supporting its development.

Expanding Support Beyond Residential Care

FFNE is also implementing community-based recovery services, including:

• Intensive case management

• Local recovery support for pregnant and parenting women

• Coordinated care guided by clinical experts and lived experience

Launching Soon

FFNE is preparing to open a newly constructed facility providing ASAM 3.5 High-Intensity Residential Treatment by the end of 2027.
