A Milestone Reached, A Legacy in the Making

Since its founding, the Friends of Constitution Park Ossipee (FCPO) has been on a mission to transform a once-underutilized public space into the vibrant, inclusive heart of our town. What began as a grassroots initiative has grown into a powerful movement—bringing people of all ages and backgrounds together in the heart of Ossipee, NH. Today, Constitution Park is more than just land; it is a premier "third space" where kids play, athletes compete, and neighbors finally find a moment to slow down and connect.

We Built It Together

This past year marked a historic turning point for us. Thanks to the overwhelming support of our volunteers, donors, and partners, the vision for the Deer Run All-Accessible Trail is now a reality. With the renovation complete and our brand-new viewing platform unveiled, we have successfully bridged the gap to Ossipee Lake. This fully ADA-compliant path ensures that everyone—from families with strollers to seniors and visitors of all abilities—can experience the scenic beauty of our woodlands and wetlands.

This momentum hasn’t gone unnoticed. Our community-led efforts have earned FCPO the 2022 Community Spirit Award, the NH Parks and Recreation High Five Award, and most recently, the 2023 Business of the Year. These honors belong to every one of you who helped us lay the groundwork.

The Work Continues: Stewardship & Sustainability

While the trail is finished, our commitment to Constitution Park is just beginning. As a community-funded nonprofit, we are now entering a vital phase of stewardship. Managing 140+ acres of award-winning recreational space—from our busy pickleball and tennis courts to the disc golf course and dog park—requires consistent care, maintenance, and vision.
