At Habitat for Humanity Greater Nashua Manchester, we are ready to build again. We have dedicated volunteers. We have strong community support across the Greater Nashua and Manchester areas. We have families ready to apply to our homeownership program and begin their journey to homeownership.

But right now, we’re missing one critical piece:

Land.

Across the Greater Nashua and Manchester region, the cost and availability of land has become one of the biggest barriers to building affordable homes. Without land, we can’t break ground. And without breaking ground, we can’t build the homes that families in our community urgently need.

While this past year hasn’t brought a new home build, it hasn’t been a quiet one. Behind the scenes, we’ve been working hard to identify and secure land so we can continue our mission and serve the next family in our expanded service area.

Habitat for Humanity Greater Nashua Manchester partners with local families to build safe, decent, and affordable homes. Our homebuyers invest hundreds of hours of sweat equity and purchase their homes with an affordable, no-interest mortgage—creating stability that lasts for generations.

Who We Are

The purpose of Habitat for Humanity Greater Nashua Manchester is to provide safe, decent and affordable housing in the southern New Hampshire towns we serve.

We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that works to strengthen families and communities through affordable home ownership opportunities. We work in partnership with corporations, like-minded community groups, faith-based organizations, and individual volunteers to develop communities by building and renovating simple, decent, affordable homes with hard-working people who are in need.

We partner with families whose income is above public housing guidelines and who are unable to qualify for conventional mortgages. Qualified families are given a hand up (not a hand out), and they pay a monthly no-interest mortgage to Habitat. These monies, in turn, go back into building more, simple, decent, affordable homes. Habitat is committed to developing and uplifting families and communities.
