We believe in the power of young people to use media for good.

Media Power Youth’s programs empower students to become thoughtful communicators, critical thinkers, and positive leaders—whether they’re engaging online, at school, or in their communities. Programs like My Digital Life, Tech Talk, Behind the Lyrics, and Spotlight Community Impact Awards help young people strengthen media literacy, build emotional resilience, and find healthy ways to express themselves and advocate for their needs.

In a world where technology often competes for attention and connection, we equip youth to navigate the digital landscape with confidence, empathy, and purpose. Through discussions and media making activities, our workshops help students understand the benefits and risks of media and technology while addressing the real challenges they face every day—including cyberbullying, misinformation, body image pressures, anxiety, vaping, and peer conflict. We partner with our Youth Media Squad and Educator Advisory Boards to ensure that learning experiences are authentic, youth-centered, and grounded in evidence-based approaches.

Who We Are

Media Power Youth is a New Hampshire-based nonprofit with over two decades of experience in media literacy education. Our mission is to provide curricula, training and workshops to build young people’s media literacy knowledge and critical-thinking skills through hands-on, engaging programs. Our goal is to teach youth to consume and create media safely and responsibly, reaping all of its benefits while recognizing the influence it can have on physical and mental health, decision-making, and relationships.
