New Hampshire Recycles

Have you ever wondered what happens to your recycling in New Hampshire when you drop it in the bin at your transfer station or roll your cart out to to be picked up? Wonder no more! NH Recycles is your friendly recycling nonprofit. (Fun Fact 1: we are also the oldest and largest cooperative-model recycling nonprofit in the US!) 

We partner with 90% of New Hampshire municipalities - meaning we probably work with your town - to strengthen recycling through environmentally and economically sound solutions. 

Sounds nice...but what does that mean? 

It means we help MOVE your recyclables by connecting communities directly with our reputable buyers. (Fun Fact 2: by working with a variety of trusted vendors, we help our members access stronger market options and pricing than they would be able to access individually!)

It means we SUPPORT your transfer station and recycling center operators - by phone, email, or in person - providing real-world guidance about recycling markets, proper processing, or specific materials. (Fun Fact 3: all NH Recycles staff aside from our finance department are certified Principal Solid Waste Operators in the state of NH.) 

It means we provide practical, up-to-date EDUCATION that helps members run safer, more efficient, and more effective recycling programs. We give members the tools they need to train staff, inform local leaders, and communicate clearly with residents. (Fun Fact 4: Our education programs also help NH operators meet their required NH continuing education hours.)

Your donation will be reinvested directly into our technical assistance and education programs, benefiting transfer station and recycling center operators, municipalities, and residents across the state.
