About Project S.T.O.R.Y. (Supporting Talents Of Rising Youth)

Project S.T.O.R.Y. empowers youth from culturally diverse communities to become leaders and agents of change through education, mentorship, leadership development, youth programming, and advocacy.

We provide a safe, supportive environment where young people can access:

  • Educational enrichment and academic support
  • Leadership development opportunities
  • Food security and basic needs resources
  • Wellness and social-emotional learning activities
  • Transportation assistance
  • Mentorship and community connections

Our goal is to help youth overcome barriers, build confidence and resilience, achieve academic success, and develop the skills needed to thrive in school, work, and their communities.

Who We Serve

Since 2021, Project S.T.O.R.Y. has served more than 130 youth ages 6–21 in the greater Concord area, primarily from African and Southeast Asian immigrant and refugee communities.

Many participants face challenges such as:

  • Histories of war, displacement, or time spent in refugee camps
  • Interrupted education and language barriers
  • Cultural adjustment and social isolation
  • Discrimination and systemic inequities
  • Limited access to transportation, nutritious food, and other essential resources

Our Impact

Project S.T.O.R.Y. addresses these challenges through culturally responsive programming and comprehensive support services that help youth:

  • Improve academic outcomes
  • Strengthen emotional well-being
  • Develop leadership and life skills
  • Build meaningful relationships and community connections
  • Increase confidence, belonging, and civic engagement

By creating opportunities for growth, connection, and leadership, Project S.T.O.R.Y. helps young people build brighter futures while strengthening the broader community.
