At Rochester Child Care Center, summer is more than just a season.

It’s the excitement of walking onto a bus with your friends.
It’s the laughter during a shared adventure.
It’s the moment a child experiences something completely new for the very first time.

For many of the children we serve, these experiences don’t always happen easily. Some families are working hard just to cover the basics, and opportunities for extra activities or outings can feel out of reach.

That’s why RCCC works so hard to make sure every child gets the chance to participate, belong, explore, and create memories alongside their peers.

This NH Gives, we’re raising funds to help support summer enrichment opportunities for the children in our care.

Because childhood should include joy.
Discovery.

And every child deserves the chance to experience it.

Who We Are

Established in 1976 as private non-profit center with a volunteer board of directors the center has maintained a consistent mission of providing high quality affordable child care to families in Rochester and surrounding communities. In its history the center has grown from an enrollment of 35 children to serving approximately 300 children in its various programs. Tuition is kept at an affordable rate through a contract with the Child Development Bureau, fund-raising and grant writing. Throughout its history the center has demonstrated a commitment to school aged childcare and has partnered with the Rochester School District to offer care at five elementary schools.

Our staff works hard to prevent illness and injuries. There is always someone on our premises who is CPR and First Aid certified.

The Rochester Child Care Center participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program to offer nutritious meals and snacks and provides information to parents on nutrition and health topics. Through funding from a Community Block Grant new developmentally appropriate playgrounds were added to the facility in 2004. The center is licensed by the State of New Hampshire and has recently attained the newly developed Licensed Plus status.
