Who We Are

Salem Animal Rescue League (SARL) is a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter dedicated to giving homeless, neglected, and abandoned animals a second chance at life. Since 1992, we have been rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming thousands of dogs and cats while providing them with the care, compassion, and medical attention they need to thrive.

Every animal that comes through our doors is spayed or neutered, receives veterinary care, and is given a safe place to heal and grow while waiting for a loving forever home. Through the dedication of our staff, volunteers, foster families, and supporters, SARL helps more than 800 animals each year find their happy endings.
