At theatre KAPOW, we are committed to creating work that builds community and fosters connection. Over 17 seasons, we’ve seen firsthand the transformative power of live theatre to inspire empathy and meaningful conversations long after the final curtain falls.  As we get closer to the end of season 18,  we are reflecting on the question:

What makes a theatre KAPOW show "KAPOW"?

We think a lot about elements of the stage: scenery, costumes, lights, impact and relevance of a script, virtuosity of the performers, etc. Then we think about elements of composition: writing on the stage with space and time to create an experience for the audience.
