Demand for music making in the Upper Valley is through the roof! In the past five years, the number of adults and children served by Upper Valley Music Center has more than doubled. 

As your home for music making in the Upper Valley has grown over the years, the need for more teaching space and greater accessibility has become clear. 

We're making great progress towards earning a matching challenge of $100,000 from the Byrne Foundation to support the completion of two new teaching studios and an elevator at UVMC’s historic home in downtown Lebanon. Thanks to everyone who has made a gift so far, we have just $37,000 left to raise to meet the challenge!

About Upper Valley Music Center

The Upper Valley Music Center’s mission is to provide and promote the best in music education and ensemble opportunities for people living in the Upper Valley region of Vermont and New Hampshire and beyond. For more than 30 years Upper Valley Music Center has been a catalyst for music making across the Upper Valley region of Vermont and New Hampshire. As a community music school based in Lebanon, NH, UVMC annually serves more than 2,000 children and adults in ensembles, group classes, lessons and special performances, and supports music organizations with facility, administrative, and musical resources. More than 40 expert faculty guide students of all ages, from preparing for a career in music to playing or singing for the sheer joy of it. Programs for students of all ages and ability levels are offered in UVMC’s historic home in downtown Lebanon, in performance spaces throughout the Upper Valley, and through community partnerships with service organizations, schools, and libraries to bring music to people where it can make a difference.
