The World Trails Network – Hub for the Americas (WTN Americas), also known as Pan American Trails, is a New Hampshire nonprofit that partners with the White Mountain National Forest, New Hampshire State Parks, the Appalachian Mountain Club, the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, and others to steward trails, engage volunteers, and provide training and educational opportunities through the collaborative Alpine Stewardship Center (ASC).

In 2025, ASC coordinated 145 volunteers contributing more than 1,200 hours of service, with an in-kind value of over $42,000. Summit Stewards and volunteers repaired or maintained 4,601 feet of alpine trail on Franconia Ridge and the Upper Greenleaf Trail, helping protect rare alpine plants and fragile mountain soils.

ASC focuses on two iconic White Mountain alpine areas and their adjacent trails: Franconia Ridge and the Crawford Path. WTN Americas hires Summit Stewards who maintain trails, monitor alpine conditions, and educate thousands of visitors each season.

WTN Americas is also part of a multi-year partnership to restore the heavily eroded Franconia Ridge Loop, including sections of the Old Bridle Path in Franconia Notch State Park. In 2025, WTN Americas coordinated more than 1,000 hours of professional trail reconstruction on the Old Bridle Path.

Your support helps protect fragile alpine ecosystems, restore beloved trails, and grow the next generation of trail stewards.
