YouthWell New Hampshire

Over the past three years, YouthWell New Hampshire has grown from a shared vision into an impactful resource for our community. What began as a friendship grounded in love, empathy, and compassion more than 40 years ago has evolved into a statewide effort to reach young people who feel unseen, unheard, or unsupported. 

Together with families, educators, community partners, mental health professionals, and youth, we’ve built an organization that centers the voices of young people and embraces a future where mental health care is accessible, equitable, and stigma-free.

The challenges are real: rising rates of anxiety and depression, long waitlists for care, and increasing pressure on parents and educators. But so are the signs of hope. Youth are asking for what they need. Communities are stepping up. And YouthWell is helping to connect the dots.

The Village, our volunteer program.

The Village is a place where community members can help us achieve our goal by donating time and talent to YouthWell NH. The Village is not a weekly or even monthly commitment. Rather, it is a group of people who want to help. When a need arises, we will reach out to The Village and anyone so inclined can choose to help with that particular endeavor.

We are students from across New Hampshire who are interested in mental health or are already involved in mental health clubs at our schools. Our hope is to create a space where we can meet regularly to share resources, discuss challenges, and collaborate on advocacy efforts to reduce stigma and raise awareness about mental health in our schools.

With the support of YouthWell New Hampshire, we can access training opportunities, connect with local advocacy groups, and explore programs and resources throughout the state.

Our goals may include but are not limited to advocating for youth mental health at the statehouse, attending mental health conferences and workshops, engaging in speaking opportunities within our communities and working on collaborative projects that will benefit our peers and ourselves. The goals and direction of YouthWell Voices will be decided by the members, allowing us to tailor the experience to what’s most important to us.
