Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Hampshire and Vermont is a youth mentoring organization committed to creating and supporting one-to-one mentoring relationships that help young people reach their full potential.

Across both states, many children are growing up facing significant challenges, including food insecurity, family instability, academic struggles, and limited access to consistent positive role models. These circumstances can make it harder for youth to build confidence, stay engaged in school, and envision a strong future.

That’s where Big Brothers Big Sisters comes in.

We carefully match young people (“Littles”) with screened, trained volunteer mentors (“Bigs”) who provide consistent support, encouragement, and connection. These relationships are built around simple, shared experiences and over time, they help young people develop stronger decision-making skills, greater self-confidence, and a deeper sense of belonging.

Our evidence-based model works:

• 70% of Littles report higher education aspirations
• 77% report improved decision-making skills
• 90% feel better about themselves
