Black Lives Matter New Hampshire: Black Led Organization Leading the fight for Black Liberation in New Hampshire.

The union of BLM Seacoast, BLM Manchester, and BLM Nashua in September 2023 heralded a historic milestone in the pursuit of equity and racial justice throughout New Hampshire.

This union harmonized a mosaic of voices, experiences, and viewpoints, amplifying the notion that the quest for racial justice transcends conventional borders.

By synergizing their unique strengths, these organizations within the Black Lives Matter Movement forged a more formidable and cohesive entity, poised to tackle the urgent challenges confronting Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities across New Hampshire.

At BLM NH, our mission is clear: to dismantle anti-Blackness, eradicate systemic racism, champion racial equality, combat racial injustices, put an end to police brutality, and advocate for justice for all Black lives in New Hampshire. Our unwavering commitment lies in nurturing dialogues around racial equity, passionately advocating for change, and fostering collaborative efforts with our communities, local governments, and organizations to forge a just and equitable future.

We achieve this by cultivating conversations centered on racial equity, relentless advocacy, and the celebration of Black excellence.

The organization has a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Education Training program consisted of 3 Black DEI certified trainers to hold nontraditional, racial equity trainings for organizations and businesses. Their trainings provides concrete strategies to engage in respectful and positive interactions in all settings while reducing discrimination and prejudice based on factors such as gender, ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, age, religion/spirituality affiliation, physical and mental ability, and socioeconomic status. In this, we strive for a vision of solidarity rooted in reimagined relationships between BIPOC in an anti-Black, white supremacist society.

BLM New Hampshire consistently stands with and shows up for our community members through our mutual aid and community support work. Since creation of the organization, we

have donated over 250,000 dollars in mutual aid, sponsorships, and community support programs along with allocating our personal time and support.  This is just one of many examples of how we are supporting and restoring the Black community.

BLM New Hampshire creates educational opportunities for the broader community through social media, live panels, votings rights & political education and training and leadership development opportunities that they offer internally and externally to the community. Our partnership program allows us to partnered with various local organizations and business on a number of key events and offerings to our community, including vaccine clinics, an educational events and student focused events in collaboration with departments at the University of New Hampshire.
