LATEST NEWS: Nonprofit Questions NRC About Trump Executive Orders, Cracking Concrete at Seabrook

Did you know the New Hampshire Seacoast is home to an operating nuclear power plant? The Seabrook Station Nuclear Power Plant opened in 1990. Not coincidentally, this was also when C-10 Research and Education Foundation was founded! C-10’s mission is to monitor and advocate for the safety of Seabrook Station in order to protect public health and the environment in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and beyond.

For nearly 35 years we have be actively advocating for nuclear safety in our local community. Much of our work focuses on towns within 10 miles of Seabrook Station, an area formally classified as the plant's "Emergency Planning Zone". We operate three key programs that address multiple levels of nuclear safety:

-radiation monitoring

-public outreach and education

-research and advocacy

C-10 Citizen's Radiation Monitoring Network

C-10's network is the only independent radiation monitoring network in the U.S. singularly focused on a nuclear plant. We have 22 monitoring stations across both New Hampshire and Massachusetts, providing real-time beta and gamma radiation measurements. They also have anemometers and capture meteorological data.
