EFAC is a leader in providing education-to-employment solutions that disrupt poverty. We offer young people in Kenya the opportunity to continue their education beyond the 9th grade and build pathways to economic empowerment. Founded in 2008 by Nancy and Rod Van Sciver from Rye, New Hampshire, and Prof. Leah T. Marangu from Kenya, EFAC addresses the pervasive opportunity gap in education. We provide a comprehensive education-to-employment program that prepares the brightest and most vulnerable youth in Kenya for successful careers. 

Our program offers holistic support by focusing on academic, leadership, and life skills development. Currently, over 1,000 students benefit from eight years of scholarships for secondary and university education, skill-building workshops, service learning opportunities, and intensive mentoring. Additionally, we provide essential services and tools to help students successfully transition into employment.

Who We Are:

Education for All Children (EFAC) is dedicated to preparing the brightest and most vulnerable youth in Kenya for successful careers through our comprehensive education-to-employment program. We offer scholarships for both secondary and university education, along with skill-building workshops, service-learning, and intensive mentoring to over 400 students across the country. Without EFAC, our students would not have the opportunity to continue their education beyond the 9th grade because they cannot afford school fees.
