GREATER SEACOAST HEALTH
Previously known as Goodwin Community Health, Families First, and Greater Seacoast Community Health.

Greater Seacoast Health is a trusted community health network dedicated to ensuring everyone has access to high-quality, compassionate care, regardless of their ability to pay. Through its community health centers in Portsmouth and Somersworth, plus mobile health services for people who are unhoused or facing other barriers to accessing primary care, Family Resource Center of Quality, and school-based primary care and behavioral health clinics, Greater Seacoast Health provides integrated care and support that strengthens the health and well-being of thousands of people across the Seacoast each year.

Our mission is to deliver innovative, compassionate, integrated health services and support that are accessible to all in our community, regardless of ability to pay. We offer eligible patients a sliding fee discount when using our services and most family support programs are offered free of charge. We strive to remove barriers to healthier living and make our programs and services high-quality, affordable, recovery-friendly, trauma-informed, welcoming to all, and easy to access. Our network serves approximately 15,000 people annually. Our programs and services include:

  • Primary and pediatric care (including developmental screenings for children)
  • Prenatal care that includes obstetrical care; nutrition, childbirth, and breastfeeding education; preparation for parenting, and getting resources for the family
  • Dental care for adults and children, including an early-childhood and school-based dental programs
  • Parenting classes, playgroups, and family programs (child care provided at no charge during some classes)
  • Home visits for families facing challenges
  • Somersworth Student Health Center (offering whole-person health care to Somersworth High School and Middle School students, with written consent from parents/guardians)
  • Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), Nutrition Services, and Breastfeeding Support
  • Social work services
  • A pharmacy at our Somersworth location
  • Benefits enrollment assistance; care coordination; and prescription assistance
  • Behavioral health counseling
  • Medication-Assisted Recovery
  • Mobile health services for people experiencing homelessness or housing instability

Your support helps people who are underinsured or without insurance continue to have access to affordable primary health care that's integrated with behavioral health care, including substance use disorder counseling, as well as preventive, restorative, and emergency oral health services.

Women will have access to obstetrical care, nutrition education, social work services, home visits, and more to ensure they and their babies are healthy.

Parents and caregivers will have the resources they need to nurture their children and promote their healthy growth and development.

And people will be provided with health education to manage their chronic conditions and stay connected with services that address their interrelated needs and reduce barriers to care and health disparities.
