Help us Preserve the Promise of Liberty: 250 Years!

The Historical Society of Cheshire County has been collecting and sharing the history of southwest NH for nearly 100 years. We stand strong in fulfilling our mission with vigor and imagination, collecting, preserving, and communicating the history of Cheshire County, and thereby serving as a cultural hub for our community, so that all of us might find our place in history.

With your help, we will be be in a stronger position to offer programs such as school visits, guided tours, and three distinct experiences across our properties that commemorate the 250th anniversary of American independence - including an exhibition providing an in-depth look at the experiences of local residents, a self-guided exhibit on the grounds of the Wyman Tavern, and a hands-on family activity center at the Bruder House.
