About Us

In 2014, a local obstetrician and prenatal nurse recognized a growing crisis. Across New Hampshire, women facing substance use disorder (SUD) had nowhere to turn for specialized, compassionate care. Many were experiencing homelessness, fleeing unsafe relationships, and fighting for their lives. With determination and community support, they set out to create a safe, supportive place where women—and their babies—could heal and thrive. In 2016, Hope on Haven Hill opened its doors in Rochester, doubling the number of treatment beds available to pregnant and postpartum women in the state. Since then, we have continued to meet the evolving needs of women and families in recovery.

Last year alone, we served more than 200 women and their children—and the need continues to grow, with an active waitlist.

What began as a residential program has expanded into a full continuum of care—supporting women at every stage of their journey. Our goal is not only to support recovery—but to transform futures.
