Fill Our Home with Hope

In 2014, a local obstetrician and prenatal nurse recognized a growing crisis. Across New Hampshire, women facing substance use disorder (SUD) had nowhere to turn for specialized, compassionate care. Many were experiencing homelessness, fleeing unsafe relationships, and fighting for their lives.

They knew something had to change.

With determination and community support, they set out to create a safe, supportive place where women—and their babies—could heal and thrive.

In 2016, Hope on Haven Hill opened its doors in Rochester, doubling the number of treatment beds available to pregnant and postpartum women in New Hampshire.

Since then, we have continued to grow to meet the evolving needs of women and families in recovery. What began as a residential program has expanded into a full continuum of care—supporting women at every stage of their journey.

We meet women where they are, with compassion, dignity, and respect—providing care for both mother and child in a nurturing, home-like environment.

  • 2019: Opened Abi’s Place, offering recovery housing where mothers can live with their children
  • 2020: Completed a $3.25 million capital campaign to build the Center for Hope and Wellness, expanding outpatient care, childcare, and whole-person services
  • Launched Camilla’s Place, our first permanent affordable housing program

Last year alone, we served more than 200 women and their children—and the need continues to grow, with an active waitlist.

At Hope on Haven Hill, our goal is not only to support recovery—but to transform futures. By equipping mothers with the tools, stability, and support they need, we help children grow up in healthier, safer environments.

Today, our full continuum of care includes:

  • High- and low-intensity residential treatment
  • Mental health, medical, and psychiatric care
  • On-site childcare during treatment
  • Case management and life skills training
  • Parenting education and support
  • Recovery housing and independent affordable housing

Your support makes this possible.

With your help, we can continue to provide life-changing care to pregnant and parenting women—and give families the opportunity to build brighter, healthier futures together.
