Monadnock Center for History and Culture

A nonprofit organization

This summer and fall we will be busy welcoming the community to walking tours, talks, and living history demonstrations in the Phoenix Mill House as well as Community Conversations and Music in Bass Hall performances. Thank you for helping us make all of these great programs happen!

Your investment through NH Gives makes these community events happen and keeps our historic buildings ready to welcome visitors. Your investment in the Monadnock Center is an investment in the community.

Your 2025 NH Gives Investment is Instantly Doubled! $19,800 in matching funds!
The Monadnock Center Board of Directors and a generous group of donors, The Matchmakers, have pledged to match gifts dollar for dollar (up to $19,800!) made through NH Gives. A gift of any size will help- let's not leave any dollars on the table!

Who We Are

The Monadnock Center for History and Culture connects people with the rich history and culture of the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire. We celebrate the Monadnock Region through exhibits, events, concerts, and programs that enrich our community’s cultural life and promote connection to this special place we call home.
Each year, we offer over 75 talks, walking tours, exhibits, concerts, school programs, living history demonstrations and civic forums that engage and delight our visitors. Our museum and research archives preserve more than 50,000 items that document the community’s past.
Programs are open to all and everyone is welcome at the Monadnock Center.
