Monadnock Interfaith Project (MIP) is a nonprofit community where we find common ground with people from different walks of life, religious backgrounds, ages, and political perspectives. We make personal connections around shared values of hope and respect. We work together in whole-hearted ways on challenges that confront our community.
MIP includes Christian, Jew, Muslim, Buddhist, Unitarian Universalist, Baha’i, Hindu, Sikh, and individually spiritual people. Our motto is... "We, in our faith, want you in your faith, or no faith at all, to flourish, because we are stronger together!"
MIP has embarked on a new community organizing focus of mental health & wellness!
Our mental health research team has met with dozens of local organizations and leaders who are part of the mental health eco-system. Our research identified a promising low-cost youth focused program, We R HOPE, that provides early intervention coaching for at-risk students. We have started meeting with local schools exploring potential collaboration.
The research team is also pursuing natural support strategies and ways for people to better understand the mental health resources that exist in our community.
MIP builds relationships leading to collaborative work that strengthens the fabric and vitality of our community.
