The Barnstormers Theatre is proud to be one of the longest-running professional summer theatres in the nation — a treasured cornerstone of New Hampshire’s cultural landscape since 1931!
Each summer, our nationally acclaimed five-show season brings extraordinary artists from across the country to historic Tamworth Village, filling our stage with bold performances and unforgettable stories that stir the soul and ignite the imagination.
Founded by Broadway veterans Francis Cleveland (the youngest son of President Grover Cleveland), his wife Alice, and their friend Ed Goodnow, The Barnstormers has long held a special place in American theatre history. Now beginning our 95th season, that legacy endures — rich with connection, community, and a shared love of great live theatre.
Our newest chapter includes expanded “shoulder season” programming, welcoming local musicians and artists each spring and fall to share their gifts with our audience and deepen our roots in the region we call home.
In a time of rising production costs and lingering post-pandemic challenges, your support is more vital than ever!
Every gift sustains our mission and helps ensure The Barnstormers Theatre continues to thrive — for this generation and the next.
Thank you for choosing to standing with us and helping to keep the lights bright on our beloved stage.
