DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT during NH GIVES with our MATCHING FUNDS!
The Home Possible Project’s “Building Dreams” Initiative
DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT during NH Gives with our $5,000 MATCH!
The Home Possible Project is a local grassroots nonprofit dedicated to creating supportive housing opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.
This year, HPP has a fundraising goal of $20,000 to help secure an early down payment and deposit on a Solar PV System for our community residence. By moving forward early, HPP will qualify for rebates estimated at 30–40% of the system cost.
Adding solar energy to our residence will help reduce long-term utility and operating costs, improve sustainability, provide more predictable energy expenses, and allow more resources to go directly toward resident support, programming, and services rather than rising energy costs.
It’s a powerful way to turn today’s support into lasting impact. DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT!
OUR PROJECT
Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of the First United Methodist Church of Gilford-Laconia, we are moving forward on our 6.8-acre site in Gilford, NH and in 2026, we are focused on our Phase I Community Residence.
This thoughtfully designed residence will provide safe, accessible housing with 8 private studio apartments, each featuring a bathroom and kitchenette. Shared spaces, including a kitchen, dining area, and comfortable common areas will foster connection, independence, and a true sense of community. With 24/7 staff support, residents will receive person centered assistance with daily living, health and wellness, and meaningful community engagement.
Our residence will also incorporate forward-thinking design and technology, including energy-efficient systems such as geothermal heating and cooling and solar power to promote long-term sustainability. Smart home features, along with assistive technologies will enhance safety, health monitoring, communication, and overall comfort, helping residents live more independently while providing peace of mind for families.
In addition, The Home Possible Project is proud to introduce a first-of-its-kind Community Residence Facility Service Dog Program. Specially trained service dogs will support residents by providing companionship, emotional support, and assistance with daily routines, helping to reduce anxiety, increase confidence, encourage social interaction, and enhance overall well-being.
This project responds to a critical and growing need. Today, the majority of adults with developmental disabilities live at home with aging caregivers, and there are simply not enough supportive housing options available when those families can no longer provide care. The Home Possible Project is working to change that by creating a stable, caring, lifelong home where individuals can continue to grow, connect, and thrive.
You can be part of making this vision a reality.
DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT during NH Gives!
The Home Possible Project’s Board of Directors has once again committed $5,000 in matching funds for NH Gives 2026. Every dollar donated will be matched—doubling your impact—up to $5,000.
Make your gift early on June 9-10 to ensure it is matched and help turn $5,000 into $10,000 in critical support for Phase I of our Community Residence.
And it doesn’t stop there, every dollar raised beyond the match brings us closer to opening the doors of this much-needed home.
New for 2026: If you take the standard deduction, you may now deduct up to $1,000 ($2,000 for married couples filing jointly) in cash donations to The Home Possible Project. Support our mission and receive a tax benefit. Please consult your tax advisor for details.
Together, we are building more than housing—we are building opportunity, independence, and community.
Thank you from our Board of Directors and Future Residents!
