TLC Family Resource Center

When Jess walked through the doors of TLC Family Resource Center, she was holding the hands of her two young children and carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders. She had recently left an unsafe situation at home and didn’t know where to turn. With no nearby family, little income, and a heart full of uncertainty, she was looking for more than just help—she was looking for hope.

At TLC, she found it.

From the very first conversation, Jess was met with warmth, respect, and a sense of safety. Staff connected her with emergency resources, parenting support, and a peer recovery coach to help her navigate her own healing journey. Her children joined playgroups where they laughed and learned in a stable, nurturing environment. Jess attended parenting classes and began working with a family support specialist who stood by her side through court hearings, school meetings, and countless hard days.

Over time, things began to change. Jess found housing, started a part-time job, and even enrolled in a course at the local community college. Most importantly, she began to believe in herself again.

Today, Jess and her children are thriving. Her oldest just started kindergarten, and Jess is now mentoring other women through TLC’s programs—passing on the compassion and strength she once received.

This is just one story. Every day, TLC Family Resource Center walks alongside families facing hardship, recovery, and change. Whether it’s helping a parent reunify with their child, supporting someone in recovery, or simply offering a listening ear, TLC is there.

At TLC Family Resource Center, we imagine a place where every child and every family enjoy economic, physical, social and spiritual security. Our mission is to promote the optimal health and development of children, youth and families in our region of New Hampshire. We accomplish this mission through four primary programs that build connections between people and strengthen our community: Family, Youth, Recovery, Rural Outright.
