Affordable Housing Education & Development

Since 1991, AHEAD has been providing affordable housing, education and counseling to families throughout New Hampshire. With over 500 units of affordable rental housing throughout 11 towns, AHEAD is the leader in rental housing in the North Country. AHEAD prides itself in not only providing safe, clean, well-maintained properties but also strives to ensure families never pay more than 30% of their income towards rent. Within AHEAD's Homeownership Center, individuals and families state-wide can work toward their goal of purchasing a home, improving their budget or credit score, or avoiding foreclosure. AHEAD's Homeownership Center provides educational workshops on 15 unique topics on a regular on-going basis via Zoom, In-person and now On-Demand online. Our personalized 1:1 budget, credit, pre-purchase or foreclosure prevention counseling is always 100% free of charge thanks in part to donations from people like you.
