A Republic, If We Can Keep It

The American Independence Center explores the continuing American experiment through festivals and special exhibits and civic engagement that looks back with pride but also forward with a commitment to telling the whole story of our independence, from its past to its future. Our tours and programs explore not just our revolutionary origins but also the ongoing revolution that is America, and what independence means today.

Because independence is for everyone, admission to our museum is free. And each summer when thousands come to Exeter to see our original first printing of the Declaration and to celebrate our shared heritage, attending the American Independence Festival is free

We need your help to keep it that way.

This 250th year of American independence, please consider a gift of $25, $250, or $2,500 to help us preserve democracy in artifact and principle alike. Thank you!
