The ocean supplies the oxygen we breathe and is home to a wide array of marine life, including the magnificent whales we study. We all must work together to preserve the ocean and protect all who rely on this resource.

Studying Local Whales

We are the only organization consistently researching whales in our region.  One well-known humpback whale is Pinball - a female who has already been spotted this season. Tracking whales like Pinball helps us monitor their health, understand habitats, and address threats from human activity.

Cleaning Up Our Beaches

Trash harms wildlife. Your gift powers year-round cleanups, microplastic research, and our fishing line recycling program. In 2024, thanks to supporters like you, we removed over 162,000 pieces of litter from local coastlines, preventing their ingestion by, and harm to, marine life. 

Teaching Future Ocean Stewards

Your support brings hands-on marine education to thousands through our Blue Ocean Discovery Center, school programs, and student internships.
