$9,010 raised by 41 donors

We need your support to help keep our properties and services available to those who need them most.

Your donation to Fellowship Housing enables us to support our residents, tenants, and outreach clients as they strive to achieve their recovery goals. Fellowship Housing prides itself on being responsive to the emerging needs of our clients and has created a few major areas for giving:

  1. Targeted Resident and Client Needs:  Donations to this fund are set aside to aide current residents and clients that may need assistance obtaining the necessities of every day life. Such items include toiletries, basic household items and furnishing, as well as financial assistance to attend self improvement classes. Residents and clients who have such needs go through an application and interview process to request disbursements from this fund. Donations to this fund are also used to provide recreational trips and outings to residents living at Fellowship House.

  2. Operating Reserves:   The operating reserves are maintained with an eye towards future projects and activities. The money in this fund allows us to seed new projects and explore opportunities to expand our housing and services. From our modest beginnings to today’s continuum of housing options and services we have focused on our mission and being responsive to our special clientele. The need for affordable housing and quality behavioral health care continues to grow and your support of our work is extremely valuable. We know that there are numerous good causes to support and that these economic times have forced organizations like Fellowship Housing to ask for your help. We hope that you will consider becoming a contributor to Fellowship Housing’s future – today!

  3. Renovations:  We have multiple projects at hand with a critical need for apartment renovation projects that have unexpectedly come about. Due to wear and tear, client symptoms, and a lack of funding, the apartments are in need of some tender loving care, and it is necessary to put forth a concerted effort to improve them. This will ultimately improve both the quality of life for the resident and the quality of the room itself, thus enabling our maintenance staff to keep up with the repair demands.

HOUSING

Fellowship Housing Opportunities offers housing and support options based on individual needs. Our community residence and apartments are the foundation upon which an individual can achieve recovery goals and learn to live in the community as a citizen, a neighbor, a friend and worker. We consider ourselves an "interested landlord", involved with the day to day lives of our renters. Responsiveness and flexibility are two key ingredients in our programs and we have a deep respect for our roles as both landlord and provider of services.

SERVICES

Fellowship House, also know as "the Group Home", houses 12 adults who thrive with around the clock support. In order to become a resident, each person undergoes an assessment to ensure goodness of fit, abilities, needs, and interest. Upon move-in, the individual establishes residential goals with our staff and the individual's treatment team from the local community mental health center.

All residents have a private room and share bathrooms, the kitchen, the dining area, the living room and other common areas. Breakfast and lunch are prepared by residents with ingredients on hand. Dinner is served family-style and is prepared by the residents with some staff assistance. Residents are encouraged to become involved with their community and to participate in the various activities and outings that are offered.

In addition to our Group Home, Fellowship Housing contracts with the local community mental health center to provide medically necessary services to clients living independently in the community. Our staff members provide support in completing everyday tasks in natural community environments, helping to reinforce and enhance the client's ability to successfully manage the symptoms of mental illness and achieve their personal treatment goals. The intent is to help the client avoid hospitalization and gain confidence throughout their recovery.
