For
NH Gives, help us preserve Cheshire County’s history for future generations.
Help us share stories of those whose voices might otherwise have become lost or
forgotten.

The
Historical Society of Cheshire County has been collecting and sharing the
history of southwest NH for almost 100 years.  We're not going anywhere.
We stand strong in fulfilling our mission with vigor and imagination,
collecting, preserving, and communicating the history of Cheshire County, and
thereby serving as a cultural hub for our community, so that all of us, each
one of us, might find our place in history.

The
support of our members and donors allows us to bring history to life through
projects like our Recovering Black History website and Voices of Pride oral
histories, exhibits like “Our Story: The Art of Community Connections in the
Monadnock Region," along with numerous school visits, and other
educational programming.

In
these uncertain times, HSCC remains committed to our mission, our core
values, and our core purpose. And we are actively working with other arts and
culture organizations in the region to connect the generations, past and
present, for the sake of our common future together.
