Lantern Light Camps
Our Story
Why We’re Here
Childhood is changing.
Since the early 2010s, screen time has skyrocketed and real-world play has faded. Kids who once explored neighborhoods by bike or lay in fields watching stars now spend more than 44 hours a week interacting with digital media. The results? Increasing rates of anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, and social-emotional delays in children and teens.
Lantern Light Camps exists to help fix that.
We give kids what childhood used to offer: dirt under their fingernails, curiosity in their eyes, and connection in their hearts. Our mission is to provide year-round, age-appropriate outdoor adventures where kids can be kids again—running, climbing, building, singing, swimming, and wondering.
Through our programs at the Wah-Tut-Ca Reservation in Northwood, New Hampshire, we help children unplug from devices and reconnect with nature, each other, and themselves. Our campers build confidence, learn teamwork, develop problem-solving skills, and grow into empathetic and resilient young people—all while immersed in a beautiful, restorative outdoor setting.
Your gift today supports more than just fun at camp. It helps children build confidence, learn to work as a team, develop a love for nature, and strengthen their emotional resilience—all while being cared for in a safe, inclusive environment.
Whether you’re giving in honor of a past camp memory, a child you love, or a future you believe in—thank you for standing with us. Together, we’re helping a generation rediscover the joy of play and the healing power of nature.
